DTF / Heat Press Printing

DTF (direct-to-film) printing prints your design on a special film, adds an adhesive powder and transfers it to the garment with a heat press. It gives sharp, full-colour logos on cotton, polyester and blends – ideal for T-shirts, polos and hoodies.

DTF / Heat Press Printing for custom jerseys and T-shirts – Rigid Sportswear

How DTF Printing Works

  1. Print on film

Your logo or design is printed in full colour onto a PET transfer film.

  2. Add adhesive

A fine adhesive powder is applied to the wet ink and cured with heat.

  3. Heat press

The film is pressed onto the garment so the design bonds to the fabric.

  4. Peel and finish

The film is peeled away, leaving a soft, flexible, full-colour print.

Best for

  • Cotton round neck T-shirts for events, campaigns and promotions
  • Corporate polo T-shirts with a chest logo
  • Hoodies, sweatshirts and jackets
  • Small runs and designs with many colours or fine detail

Good to know

  • Sits on top of the fabric rather than inside it, so it is less breathable than sublimation for large areas
  • Large full-front prints feel heavier than sublimation

Popular for corporate wear and custom T-shirts.

DTF / Heat Press Printing – FAQs

Is DTF printing durable?

Yes. With the right care – washing inside out in cold water and no direct ironing on the print – DTF prints last for many washes.

Can DTF print on dark T-shirts?

Yes. DTF includes a white base layer, so colours stay bright on black and dark fabrics.

DTF or screen printing – which is better?

DTF is better for small quantities and multi-colour designs. Screen printing is efficient for large runs of simple one- or two-colour designs.

What is the minimum order?

Just 4 pieces.
